“Origins of the Tao,” Undecillion Spring 2014 Inspiration/Mood Board

What better way to collect your thoughts visually than to create a mood board? These images came from Artstor at the New York Public Library and several books bought from Strand at Union Square. These two book refuges have become my new favorite sanctuaries away from city bedlam. Now to start sketching! I’m extra inspired by my new book “Chinese Embroidery,” and specifically the technique known as “couching,” or laying down a thick thread and the securing it to the fabric ground with finer stitches. Ready to roll!
